Mint revenue, trading fees, and liquidity explained.
A new mint
Each new NFT costs 1 token for vault backing plus a mint fee of 0–10% of one token (default 10%). Collectors pay the mint fee in the collection token. The collection sells that token for its pricing token and pays the fee recipients automatically.
Pay with ETH or another supported token, and the app obtains the collection token needed for your mint. You can also pay with collection tokens you already own. Fee recipients are paid in the collection’s pricing token (for ETH collections, as wrapped ETH). If the sale cannot complete, unsold fee tokens wait for a later mint or a sellMintFees() call. If a payment to a recipient fails, that amount is owed and the recipient can collect it from the collection page. Network gas applies. Price can change before your transaction confirms.
Mint revenue goes to fixed recipients
The mint fee defaults to 10% and may be set from 0% to 10% of one token per piece. Collectors pay in the collection token. For v5 collections, the minter sells the fee token for the pricing token and pays configured recipients automatically according to their shares. If the sale cannot complete, unsold fee tokens wait for a later mint or a sellMintFees() call. If a recipient payment fails, that recipient can collect the owed amount from the collection page. Older v4 collections paid mint fees in the token; v3 collections charge a fixed fee in the pricing token. Fee settings and recipient shares are fixed for each collection.
Trading fees
Each trade pays the pool’s trading fee. The rate is set per collection and shown before you confirm. Of the trading fees collected, 80% goes to the creator, 15% to jpeg markets, and 5% to Doppler. These are shares of fees collected, not of the trade amount.
Liquidity
Doppler creates a trading pool for each collection’s token and a supported pricing token. The collection’s launch liquidity is locked in the pool. Collectors buy tokens from the pool or sell tokens back into it, with prices adjusting as people trade.
The vault is seeded with NFTs and live at launch. Pick any available NFT for 1 token, or sell or deposit your own pieces from the collection’s Pieces grid. Token sale proceeds depend on market price and available liquidity.
Coming soon: trading fees that deepen liquidity
We’re exploring a way to put part of each collection’s trading fees back into its market, near the price where collectors actually buy and sell, so that trades move the price less. This is still being designed and is not live. Today, trading fees go only to the recipients described above. A collection’s fee split is fixed at launch and does not change.
Claim creator earnings
On the collection page, the Your earnings panel shows trading fees ready to collect, mint fees paid to you automatically, and any owed mint fees. You can collect both there. Or go to Profile → Earnings → Collect all to collect trading fees from every collection at once. Trading-fee payouts can include the collection token and the pricing token; wrapped ETH stays wrapped unless you choose Get it as ETH.
